On November 19, 2020, the decision of the Court of Justice of the European Union redefines the legislation on the consumption and sale of hemp flowers and seeds in all its forms. However, French authorities have initiated interministerial work to impose the CBD banned in France.
In July 2021, the European Commission was notified of this project with simple observations over a three-month period. This decision is in accordance with European Union legislation, but requires further explanation of their revocation. On December 30, 2021, the Court of Appeals upheld the legalization to be able to sell CBD.
